Partner Content: The Ras Al Khaimah resort brings mermaid encounters, festive feasts and family celebrations to the seaside this December.
Christmas is taking a dip in Ras Al Khaimah this year. At Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island, The Mermaid Kingdom puts a seaside spin on the festive season, bringing mermaids, glowing pearls and Christmas wishes into a programme of family activities and dining. From Santa’s arrival at the main pool to a lantern parade on Christmas Eve, there is plenty to keep younger guests occupied throughout December.
The festivities start on 5 December 2026, when Santa makes his entrance alongside mermaids and underwater elves. For guests staying at the resort, the evening continues with carols and the lighting of the Christmas tree. Anyone planning a stay later in the month can catch the poolside performances at 4pm on 11, 18 and 25 December 2026.

There is a little extra magic at check-in, too. Every child arriving between 5 and 25 December 2026 will receive a glowing pearl and a note for the Treasure Chest of Wishes. On Christmas Day, the resort will grant five wishes, sharing the moment live through its social channels and RAK Radio.
Seasonal dining adds another reason to gather the family. Möca’s festive afternoon tea costs AED 180 for two guests, offering sweet and savoury festive treats for those looking to mark the occasion over a leisurely afternoon.
Christmas Eve brings more of the underwater story to life at Möca Lobby Café, where families can visit Santa’s Sunken Gingerbread Palace. Children can listen to a story from the Mermaid Queen and take part in the lantern parade, before attention turns to dinner. The Market’s Christmas Eve meal starts from AED 229.

On 25 December 2026, little ones can search for lost pearls, while Dar Zellij hosts Christmas Day brunch. Roast turkey and fresh seafood feature on the menu, with live music accompanying the celebrations. Brunch packages start from AED 299.
The programme continues through to New Year’s Eve, with several ways to see in 2027. Guests can choose the White & Silver poolside gala or celebrations at Dar Zellij, Neo Sky Bar and Ula. Younger partygoers have an event of their own, with the Little Mermaids’ party taking place in Jais Ballroom.
For those celebrating into January, The Market rounds off the season with an Orthodox Christmas dinner on 7 January 2027.
