The first-ever The World’s 50 Best Hotels launches in London

The three-day event takes place in the grand Guildhall.

Hotel connoisseurs, we have some exciting news. The World’s 50 Best Hotels is launching in style, as part of a three-day event in London. The awards ceremony will take place on 19 September in Guildhall, and it will rank the greatest hotels in the world.

The new awards are bought to you by the same group behind The World’s 50 Best Restaurants and The World’s 50 Best Bars. Wherever you are in the World, you can join the action, as the World’s 50 Best Hotels 2023 will be revealed as part of an online countdown. Plus, there will be special awards announced in the run-up to the event and on the night.

The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2023 events include The Opening Banquet on 16 September, and Welcome Event on 17 September. The awards ceremony includes a red-carpet, drinks reception, ceremony and press conference.

World’s 50 Best Hotels

The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2023 has been compiled by a voting panel, which consists of 580 anonymous experts. The 50 Best Academy include hoteliers, travel journalists, educators and luxury travellers.

Tim Brooke-Webb, Managing Director of 50 Best, explains: “In launching The World’s 50 Best Hotels, we will present a truly independent ranking, curated by carefully selected experts from across the World. London was the birthplace of 50 Best but it’s also a global hub for travel, so hosting the inaugural awards here felt like the logical first step. London draws more visitors per year than any other city in Europe, it is home to some of the most renowned hotels in the World and hosts an ever-growing luxury leisure scene.”

We’re expecting the Middle East, from Saudi Arabia to the UAE, to feature in the list. The region is home to some of the World’s most dazzling hotels, so we’re excited to see where they rank.

Good luck.
