Dubai’s latest beachside destination is drenched in Mediterranean vibes

Laguna Lounge will soon open its doors at Sofitel Dubai The Palm.

Renowned for its Arab hospitality, reminiscent of a Polynesian island resort, and steeped in French elegance – Sofitel Dubai The Palm is where the world comes together, making just about everyone feel welcome. Soon, Mediterranean vibes will be added to the mix as Laguna Lounge takes up residence at this Palm Jumeirah hotel. As for what we know about the upcoming beachside destination? Its boho-chic setting effortlessly captures the charm of Greek-Mediterranean islands, for starters.

Laguna Lounge

The trendy new venue welcomes guests to indulge in private luxury cabanas, dine al fresco in the lounge area, or bask under the golden sun, promising the perfect draw for party lovers looking to unwind. Cycladic elements await at every turn, with the lounge shaped in a grid of natural eucalyptus wooden columns. A part of Laguna Lounge’s ceiling resembles the waves on the beach, offering a rhythm to the place. These purposely designed and naturally occurring elements create a multi-sensory architecture that sits in harmony with the environment, providing a social atmosphere with a sense of ease. The narrow alleys of Mykonos, meanwhile, are evoked through décor elements like whitewashed stairs and uneven stone walls.

Laguna Lounge

The dining and lounging arrangements at Laguna Lounge are housed within a ‘forest’ of tree trunks as an imposing 100-year-old olive tree takes centre stage. Elsewhere, private luxury cabanas serve as the ultimate retreat. For an even more exclusive experience, the pagoda-style VIP cabanas, complete with barasti walls, offer more privacy and elevated views of the Palm Jumeirah skyline. But regardless of where you end up, you can indulge from a carefully curated menu that features sushi and sashimi, grills and salads along with an extensive menu of the finest white and rosé wines from around the world.

Laguna Lounge

Lagunas Lounge’s cocktail menu has a unique take on the Mediterranean theme, incorporating ingredients and edible garnishes that symbolise the power of the sea. Live entertainment from sunset until late on weekdays, and afternoon until late on weekends, keeps the party going as a DJ is perched in a booth that resembles a turret, turning up the music every night of the week. A true highlight will be the ‘Big Beat Boutique’ concept, where partygoers can enjoy Ibiza-style tunes in a lively atmosphere amidst the company of the best music entertainers from all over the world.
