FACT First Look: Roadster Diner

The Lebanese favourite makes its Dubai debut with burgers, sandwiches and mouthwatering starters.

While the culinary world debates whether Lebanon can lay claim to hummus, there is one export that we can all agree it owns: Roadster Diner. As the brand opens its first location in the UAE, FACT got a first look inside the restaurant. Located in Dubai Hills Mall, it’s a cool setting to enjoy some top-notch comfort food.

Roadster Diner started life in 1998 in Lebanon, and has venues across the country. While the Lebanese diaspora will be familiar with the dishes, it’s a chance for the rest of the UAE to discover the much-loved brand. At the heart of the restaurant is a sharing concept, so much so that its mantra is “share the love”.

Roadster Diner serves BBQ dishes, buffalo chicken wings and strips, served alongside mozzarella sticks and potato dippers. As for the burgers and sandwiches,  these include the Swiss truffle burger, double crunch chicken burger, chilli shrimp avocado sandwich, and Philly steak sandwich.

The comfort continues with tacos and pizzas. Plus, classic desserts include cheesecake sundae explosion, marbled mud pie and brownie temptation. Plus, health-conscious customers can try the Go Light or Vegan options.

Roadster Diner in Dubai’s new venue has a relaxed industrial chic feel — think exposed brickwork and piping. As for the décor, you’ll find funky artwork, from a painting of the Chrysler Building to fun slogans. One wall declares: “We keep everything fresh, from our ingredients to our attitude”. Plus, the brightly coloured banquettes and long tables make it great for groups.

Donald Daccache, founder and chairman of Roadster Diner, explains: “We have always aimed to serve consistent quality using the freshest ingredients for a customer-centric experience in a cool and modern atmosphere. Roadster has become synonymous with comfort, friendship, fun, and community, and our Lebanese family across the UAE can come and savour a taste of home, sharing the love with friends and family who may not yet have had the pleasure to experience our menu creations.”

Roadster Diner in Dubai opens daily from 11am to midnight. Our mouths are already watering.
