Set in the 72 hours before D-Day, Pressure follows General Dwight D. Eisenhower and meteorologist Captain James Stagg as they face a critical decision: launch the Allied invasion of Normandy or delay the attack because of dangerous weather conditions. While many World War II films focus on battlefields and military strategy, Pressure takes a different approach.
Andrew Scott stars as James Stagg, the meteorologist whose weather predictions could determine whether Operation Overlord goes ahead. Brendan Fraser plays General Eisenhower, who must make the final decision on whether D-Day can proceed. The cast also features Kerry Condon as Kay Summersby, Chris Messina as Irving Krick and Damian Lewis as Bernard ‘Monty’ Montgomery. Directed by Anthony Maras, the film is based on the stage play by David Haig.
