Echo: 10 January

The latest Marvel series arrives on Disney+ this month. Following the events of Hawkeye in New York City, Maya Lopez is being pursued by Wilson Fisk’s organisation, leading her to return to her hometown in Oklahoma, where she must come to terms with her past, reconnect with her Native American roots, and embrace her family and community.


True Detective: Night Country: 14 January

The fourth season of the gritty crime drama is back on OSN, with Jodie Foster taking the lead. Set in the fictional town of Ennis, Alaska, the series follows the investigation behind the disappearance of eight men from a research station. The season also stars Kali Reis as Detective Evangeline Navarro and will be shown on OSN in the Middle East.


The Kitchen: 19 January

Expats: 26 January

Directed by Lulu Wang, Expats is a riveting six-part limited series featuring Academy Award- and Emmy-winning actor Nicole Kidman. Adapted from Janice Y K Lee’s international best-selling novel, the Amazon Prime Video series intricately explores the lives of three American women — Margaret, Hilary, and Mercy — whose paths intersect after a sudden family tragedy. Navigating themes of privilege and blurred lines between victimhood and culpability, Expats promises an engaging and thought-provoking narrative.


Masters Of Air: 26 January

Based on the compelling non-fiction book by Donald L. Miller, Masters of the Air follows the deeply personal story of an American bomber squadron in World War II who brought the war to Hitler’s doorstep. Showing on Apple TV, the series follows the 100th Bomb Group of the United States Army Air Forces during World War II, a unit nicknamed the “Bloody Hundredth” due to the heavy losses it incurred in combat missions. The series serves as a companion piece to Band of Brothers (2001) and The Pacific (2010).
