A brand new music festival is Dubai bound

The inaugural Carnival Music Festival will take place at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Saturday, 11 November.

As a city, Dubai is no stranger to hosting mega concerts and electrifying music festivals, come rain or shine — the ongoing Beat The Heat series has already seen the likes of Cairokee, Afroto, and Autostrad perform at The Agenda this summer. Now, a new music festival is on our radar as the inaugural Carnival Music Festival – Butterfly Carnival – is set to take centre stage at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on 11 November.

Kicking off at 2pm, the carnival-esque event promises to bridge cultures through food, artistic showcases, and the universal language of music. Butterfly Carnival Music Festival has already partnered with Beirut import B018 DXB, House of Yanos (the city’s biggest Amapiano and Afrobeats music event), and Rampage (the award-winning broadcaster on BBC 1Xtra). More names are expected to be announced soon, but we’ve been told that internationally renowned DJs and over 30 local artists will come together for a line-up that will span more musical genres than ever before.

Accenting the ambience, meanwhile, will be a spectacle of entertainment by way of dancers, drummers, acrobats and more, collectively complemented by a culinary showcase that will entail bars, stalls and food trucks. Festivalgoers can elevate their experience with exclusive tables and a VIP enclave, starting at AED 5,000, while backstage VIP tables begin at AED 20,000, catering to those seeking the ultimate in carnival indulgence. General admission ticket prices start at AED 219 and are available from Platinumlist.
