Kickstart the new year by having your mind read

Theatre by QE2 will host the Mind2Mind show in January 2023.

Performing on the world’s biggest stage – aka America’s Got Talent – is no small feat, so you’ll want to mark your calendars for this one. Homegrown mentalist couple James Harrington (38, United Kingdom) and Marina Liani (31, Ukraine) will soon return to Dubai to debut their brand new Mind2Mind show at Theatre by QE2 in Queen Elizabeth 2 on 13, 14 and 30 January. The Las Vegas-style mentalism theatre show, which is called “Connected”, will feature their captivating and unique form of mind-reading, enabling audiences to learn about ‘connection’ and uncover their own mental abilities over a span of 60 minutes. 

Incidentally, James and Marina recently won the coveted Golden Buzzer on Ukraine’s Got Talent and have been performing in Dubai since they first met in 2017. Both arrived in Dubai over a decade ago and got married during the height of the pandemic. Marina says, “It’s always been our dream to open a public show and we couldn’t think of anywhere better to do it than the city that helped us to hone and master our craft.” She arrived in Dubai ten years ago and worked as a member of Flydubai cabin crew before leaving to pursue this dramatic career change. James, meanwhile, arrived 14 years ago to perform at Kempinski Hotel for a month in 2008, but ended up staying. He adds, “I fell in love with Dubai from the first day and I knew it would be the place I’d call home long-term.” 

The magical duo currently perform exclusively for corporate events, and this transition to theatre will finally allow both residents and tourists to enjoy the Mind2Mind show that was recently named “Speciality Act of the Year” by the Prestige Awards. They’ve been seen by millions of people worldwide on networks such as NBC, Hulu, Amazon Prime and ITV, and specialise in a rare form of mentalism called ‘Second Sight’, demonstrating the ability to see through the eyes of others without the aid of vision or secret electronics. During their new show, guests will witness multiple feats of mind-power and some selected members of the audience will be given the ability to hear each other’s thoughts.
