The latest addition to Bvlgari’s celebrated Octo Finissimo collection introduces a more compact 37mm case.

Bvlgari has introduced a new chapter in one of modern watchmaking’s most distinctive collections. The new Bvlgari Octo Finissimo 37 brings a smaller case size to the maison’s acclaimed line, marking the first time the Octo Finissimo has been offered in a format below 40mm. Elegant, refined and designed with broader wearability in mind, the release signals a confident evolution for a collection already known for redefining ultra-thin horology.

Twelve years after the debut of the original Octo Finissimo and nine years after the arrival of the 40mm automatic version, Bvlgari has turned its attention to proportion. Rather than simply shrinking an existing model, the brand has reworked the design to create a watch that preserves the bold architectural codes of the Octo Finissimo while offering a more versatile fit on the wrist. The result is a 37mm timepiece that feels contemporary, understated and highly considered.

The Octo Finissimo 37 launches in three versions: sandblasted titanium, satin-polished titanium and polished yellow gold. Each model features a three-hand display and automatic movement, while a minute repeater in sandblasted titanium adds a more technically ambitious option to the line-up. Though smaller in diameter, the watch remains true to the collection’s ultra-thin identity, with the new BVF 100 calibre measuring just 2.35mm thick.

That movement also introduces notable upgrades. It features a micro-rotor construction and Côtes de Genève decoration radiating from the balance, alongside a 72-hour power reserve. That gives it 12 hours more autonomy than the 40mm model. Bvlgari has also achieved a 20 per cent reduction in total volume, while maintaining 30 metres of water resistance, a respectable feat for such a slim mechanical watch.

Visually, the Bvlgari Octo Finissimo 37 continues to stand apart. Its faceted case, sharp lines and layered profile give it an almost sculptural quality, drawing on Art Deco influences while balancing the codes of both a sports watch and a dress watch. It is elegant without feeling conventional, and distinctive without becoming overstated.
