Donald Glover has designed his debut Moncler Genius collection, and it’s available to buy now. His Gilga Farm x Moncler range spans a wide variety of colours and reimagines Moncler’s well-loved silhouettes in fresh new ways.
The elevated summer collection is inspired by Southern California’s citrus farms, and built around vibrant shades like bright orange, blue and pink — all fused with real-world functionality. Gilga Farm’s motto is “The world revolves around your usefulness. Use that to move into what you are.”
Glover’s Moncler Genius collection embodies this philosophy, putting practicality at its core. Standout pieces include a suede jacket stamped with a Gilga Farm patch on the chest, and lightweight nylon ripstop windbreakers. Footwear includes a fresh take on the Moncler Trailgrip Vela sandal, featuring a Vibram sole. Moncler’s own mascot, Monduck, has also been reimagined as a farmer to fit Glover’s creative vision.
Speaking about the collection, Glover said: “Functionality is key — it’s something that connects the world of Gilga and Moncler. We both create for real-world usefulness. The sleeping bag is one of the first products Moncler ever made, which inspired our sleeping bag jacket, but also led to a collection of summer fits grounded in real value.”
Donald Glover is an award-winning actor, producer, director, comedian, writer, and Grammy-winning artist. His multi-hyphenate career has seen him write comedy, create feature-length films, and release several acclaimed albums under his stage name, Childish Gambino.
He has appeared in the films Magic Mike XXL, Spider-Man: Homecoming and The Lion King. In 2011, he signed to Glassnote Records and released his debut album, Camp. His songs include 3005 and Redbone. His hit This Is America was named one of the best songs of 2018 by Billboard, and Rolling Stone. It also won four Grammy Awards in 2019, including Record of the Year.
