Fashionistas, this one is for you. FENDI has unveiled its new Cruise Collection 2027. This marks Maria Grazia Chiuri’s debut collection for the fashion house, drawing inspiration from the brand’s past and present.
Maria is an Italian fashion designer and has worked with the biggest fashion houses in the world. After stints at Valentino and Dior, she moved to FENDI and has been hailed for bringing a radical spirit to the brand. Maria said of the collection: “[It is] a modernist idea, with extremely functional garments, where the lines are extremely straight.”
The FENDI Cruise Collection is not just about fashion. A short film has also been unveiled, inspired by the 1977 film Histoire d’Eau by Jacques de Bascher. The original film was commissioned by Karl Lagerfeld to mark FENDI’s first ready-to-wear collection.
At its heart, the FENDI Cruise Collection is a celebration of Italian craftsmanship and creativity, as well as timeless tailoring. Designed for the modern individual, the pieces combine elegance and ease. The items include contrast-woven jackets, luxurious leather outerwear, and accessories crafted from patchworks with an interplay of colour, depth and dimension.
FENDI first introduced a male and female-friendly wardrobe for Autumn/Winter 2026. Now, the new collection also explores the shared wardrobe. Take your pick from complementary looks that work for both men and women. For example, a metallic Canadian tuxedo is available in coordinated his-and-her interpretations, and celebrates individuality, connection and modern dressing. Maria explained: “Less I, more us.”
