Check out the local talent in the city’s growing streetwear scene.

In previous years, Dubai wasn’t considered to have a rich streetwear scene. Still up-and-coming, with few hubs for artists and designers, the city’s arts and culture landscape was still developing. More recently, however, Dubai has become a growing hub for local creatives. From fine art to fashion and music, the creative scene is finally blossoming.

Streetwear was once largely under the radar and often thought of as a style worn only by fashion enthusiasts. Today, the culture is far more accessible to the masses. From grassroots brands to more mainstream labels, streetwear has become widely available across the region. Here are FACT’s favourite streetwear brands making moves in Dubai.

amongst few

Founded in 2014 by Mike Taylor and Flo Moser, amongst few is a streetwear brand celebrated for fusing classic cultural designs — such as the ghitra pattern and Arabic calligraphy — with contemporary silhouettes. The label has previously collaborated with the NBA on off-court basketball apparel in 2018, and with Reebok on the Club C 85 Magic Carpet sneakers in 2022, inspired by traditional carpet craftsmanship. The brand functions not only as a fashion label but also as a community space, as evidenced by its café and concept store in Dubai. In a league of its own, amongst few is redefining streetwear by creating minimalist, powerful. pieces that are designed for everyday wear.
