SVD Dubai opens a stylish streetwear store in d3

Located in Dubai Design District, it marks the brands Middle Eastern debut.

Whether you love an adidas collaboration or live in your Converse, you’ll be excited by this streetwear news. The fashion brand SVD Sivasdescalzo, better known as SVD, has opened a new store in Dubai. Located in Dubai Design District, SVD Dubai contains exclusive, handpicked streetwear items.

SVD opened its first store in Barcelona in 2010, and opened its second store in Madrid in 2012. SVD Dubai is the brand’s first international expansion, and it also plans to expand into Asia. The shop’s design has created by Antoni Palleja, and has similar characteristics to the company’s flagship in Barcelona.  

SVD Dubai spans 600 square metres and boasts an industrial chic décor. The interiors include stainless steel, mirrors and resin, which are punctuated by bright colours. We’re talking neon lime seats, a yellow staircase, and blue racks as well as shelves. Plus, the mezzanine features nods to Dubai, thanks to the combination of sand and steel.

If you love your sneaker brands, then you’re in luck. SVD Dubai’s collection includes adidas, ASICS, Carhartt, Comme des Garçons Converse, Junya Watanabe, Nike, New Balance, Salomon, Reebok and Stussy. The sneakers are displayed like works of art throughout the shop – look out for the collection on the staircase. Plus, there is a collection of clothing for men and women.

SVD Dubai opened in style and included music by DJ Brooklyn, DJ Maww and Jaymie. Plus, the after party included performances from 1takennandos, House of Yanous, Hudson Mohawke and Toccoro.

SVD Dubai is open daily from 11am to 8pm.
