Breadwinner is bringing the flavours of the Philippines to Dubai.
It will launch as a pop-up concept in d3.
It will run throughout July on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Created by chefs Nouel Catis and JP Anglo, Breadwinner will serve Filipino bakery flavours in Dubai.
Dubai is certainly not short on bakeries. From artisanal sourdough spots and French patisseries to neighbourhood cafés serving freshly baked treats, there’s always somewhere to satisfy a carb craving. But for those looking to discover something new, a Filipino bakery concept called Breadwinner is bringing the flavours of the Philippines to Dubai.
Created by chefs Nouel Catis and JP Anglo, Breadwinner is a new Filipino bakehouse in Dubai that celebrates the comforting, nostalgic flavours of Filipino baking. The concept will introduce diners to freshly baked breads, Filipino sandwiches and desserts inspired by the country’s rich culinary traditions.

While Breadwinner is not opening as a permanent bakery in Dubai just yet, it will launch as a pop-up concept, with its first residency taking place at Onelife in Dubai Design District (d3).
Visitors can expect a menu filled with Filipino-inspired baked goods and creations that blend tradition with a modern touch. Some flavours will feel familiar and nostalgic for Filipinos, while others will offer unexpected twists for those discovering Filipino food in Dubai for the first time. Breadwinner is about honest food made with craftsmanship, curiosity and plenty of passion.
The launch brings together two Filipino chefs who have each made their mark on the region’s dining scene. Chef Nouel Catis, founder of bakery concept Bakelab, is known for his creative approach to bread and pastry, combining classic baking techniques with innovative flavours.

Meanwhile, Chef JP Anglo is the chef-owner of FACT-winner Kooya Filipino Eatery in Dubai, where he has gained recognition for showcasing modern Filipino cuisine and introducing diners to the bold flavours of the Philippines. With years of friendship behind them, the pair spent almost a year developing Breadwinner, turning conversations into a Filipino bakery concept that celebrates breads, sandwiches and desserts.
For those wanting to experience Breadwinner, the pop-up will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout July at Onelife in d3, giving food lovers a limited opportunity to try the menu. Whether you grew up enjoying Filipino baked goods or are simply looking for a new food experience in Dubai, Breadwinner is set to be one of the city’s most exciting Filipino food pop-ups to watch.
