Dubai Creek is set to shine brighter than ever with the upcoming Dubai Creek Lights project.
Dubai is a city that never seems to run out of new things to see and explore. From world-famous attractions and record-breaking landmarks to immersive experiences and ambitious urban projects, there is always something new transforming the city. This time, the spotlight is on one of Dubai’s most historic landmarks, Dubai Creek, which is set to welcome the upcoming Dubai Creek Lights project.
Launched by Dubai Municipality, the Dubai Creek Lights project will transform the waterfront into a nighttime destination while celebrating Dubai Creek’s rich heritage, cultural identity and historical importance. The project was announced under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

The project is a large-scale lighting and urban enhancement initiative designed to create a unique visual experience along Dubai Creek. The project aims to bring the historic waterfront to life after sunset by combining advanced lighting technology with the Creek’s traditional character, architectural landmarks and cultural heritage.
Featuring more than 5,000 lighting units, Dubai Creek Lights will showcase the beauty and significance of Dubai Creek, which has played a central role in the city’s growth, trade and transformation over the decades.
The project will stretch across eight kilometres of Dubai Creek and will cover six key areas: Creek Quay, Creek Promenade at the Gold Souq, Creek entrance at Infinity Bridge, Al Shindagha Historic District, Bur Dubai Souq and Al Seef Marina. The new lighting experience will be visible from more than 1,500 feet above ground level, adding a striking new feature to Dubai’s nighttime skyline and waterfront experience.
The Dubai Creek Lights project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2027. Once completed, it will become one of Dubai’s newest nighttime attractions, offering residents and visitors a unique way to experience one of the city’s oldest and most important landmarks after dark.
