Radisson Blu Dubai Creek celebrates National Day with a bucket list aimed at Dubai Residents

Sponsored: How many of these will you complete over the long weekend?

As the first five-star hotel in the city, Radisson Blu Dubai Creek will celebrate 50 years of the UAE by curating a bucket list of things to see and do in Dubai for those living and working in the city.

Whether you are a resident or a tourist, the list of ten essential Dubai experiences is a celebration of the vibrant culture of the United Arab Emirates and an excellent way to celebrate the Golden Jubilee.

These once in a lifetime bucket list experiences include a dining experience at the hotel’s authentic Persian eatery, Shabestan. The restaurant, serving customers for four decades, features authentic recipes passed down through three generations. The restaurant’s legacy inspired the team at Radisson Blu Dubai Creek to curate the bucket list for National Day.

Elsewhere on the list, visitors are encouraged to take a traditional wooden abra boat from outside the hotel’s entrance and journey across the waters of Dubai’s historic creek. Once on the Bur Dubai side, it is recommended that you explore the traditional souks to shop for textiles, spices and handicrafts.

Taking the adrenaline levels up a notch, the bucket list activities include a sunset yacht trip on the Arabian Gulf, a skydive over the Palm Jumeirah and yoga on top of the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa.

Outside of the city, it is suggested that you experience a magical sunrise in the desert surrounded by camels and dunes before heading to Hatta for a spot of hiking and those unrivalled mountains views.

Complete the bucket list back in the city with a tour of the art galleries, coffee shops and unique retail options at Alserkal Avenue before retiring for the evening at one of Dubai’s outdoor cinemas.

Jan Hanak, General Manager of Radisson Blu Dubai Deira Creek, said: “We’re very proud of our history and heritage within the hotel. Shabestan is one of our most established restaurants and has welcomed many prestigious guests over the years. We’re also proud to say we have been welcoming back loyal guests for almost 40 years. With a historical day ahead, we wanted to inspire other residents to consider what’s on their Dubai bucket list and reflect on the wonderful experiences they may already have had here in the city. The list is not conclusive of all there is to see and do in Dubai, but our team hope instead that it will be a conversation starter and encourage both our guests and residents of the city to explore.”

Residents can listen in to the big breakfast on Dubai 92 this week to win the chance to dine at Shabestan and experience the must-try restaurant for themselves. In addition, Radisson Blu Dubai Deira Creek encourages everyone to watch their bucket list video on their social media and comment with what they would like to see added to the list.
