A hidden bar will soon debut at Dubai Opera

With a performance by French electronic duo The Blaze to boot.

Theatregoers across Dubai need no introduction to Belcanto, an experiential dining concept that made its debut earlier this year on the rooftop of the city’s most iconic cultural venue, Dubai Opera. And soon, a pathway inside this fine-dining haven of Belcanto will lead to an eclectic new space called Eden, a hidden slice of disco paradise designed to cater to Dubai’s well-heeled night owls.

Eden

Eden – both by name and nature – promises to be a chic venue surrounded by lush greenery, exotic prints and vibrant patterns. Elsewhere, phenomenal views of Burj Khalifa means it will soon be one of the most sought-after venues for New Year’s Eve. An ongoing programme of local and international entertainment acts, bringing in a euphoric jungle dripping in glamour and playing electronic music, is expected. Over at the bar, five-time World’s 50 Best Bars award-winner Mikhail Melnik has concocted an impressive drinks menu with signature cocktails inspired from paradisiacal beings.

Eden

“The juxtaposition of these two similar yet very different spaces is so beautiful because it allows us to offer our guests the same high level of service to both venues, whilst still being able to maintain independent identities and offerings. As a hospitality group, our primary focus is to bring multisensorial dining experiences to the vibrant city of Dubai by combining global talents in the gastronomy and the entertainment world. From internationally acclaimed classical opera singers and theatre production companies to genius turntablists playing in world music festivals, our team has prepared a line-up of culinary and nightlife programmes that would feed different audiences and tastes,” says Pauline Mishina, Brand Director of Restart 354 hospitality group.

Eden

We’re told Eden will open its doors on 29 September, with resident DJ Icci turning up the beat every night. Icci is an instrumentalist, electronic musician and producer, and founder of the So Slow community. As for the grand opening on 14 October? Guillaume and Jonathan Alric of The Blaze will headline the event, flying to Dubai exclusively for their one-night gig. The award-winning French electronic duo has performed at international festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Pitchfork Paris, the Reading and Leeds Festivals, and Primavera Sound. Their distinctive music method involves producing sound and visuals at the same time, bridging the link between music and images.
