Flock over to The Birdcage in Downtown Dubai

The new rooftop bar is coming to Pullman Dubai Downtown.

If you’re after views, glorious views, then head over to The Birdcage. The new rooftop lounge and bar is opening next week in Downtown Dubai, and has panoramic views of the city. So, whether you’re after drinks or DJs, add this cool new venue to your nightlife list.

The Birdcage is located inside Pullman Dubai Downtown and is three floors above the Dubai Canal. True to its name, the space is inspired by a birdcage, as you’ll feel like you’re stepping into a playful place. Fans of kitsch will love the vibes – think swanky chandeliers, Roman sculptures, holograms of birds, neon lights and purple furnishings.

The Birdcage

The Birdcage’s menu is just as fanciful with a curated cocktail list and Asian meets Latin American bites. The drinks menu is an ode to the bar’s fictional character Jonathan Gold – in fitting form he has a luminescent bird appear to him in a dream.

The Birdcage

Andrew Macharia, head mixologist and bar manager, aims to bring to life Jonathan’s adventures through drinks. The cocktails come with colourful stories as well as names, as they range from 21 Years Young, Jazz and a Lot of Saz to An old Cuban in an Airplane.

Chef John Kennett Lagundi is behind the food menu, which includes chorizo gyoza, ceviche, tiradito, grilled meats and seafood. Plus, you can treat yourself to desserts that range from an Uruguayan peach tart to burnt ube cheesecake.

The Birdcage

The multitalented Nicolas Hillmann is the general manager, musician and DJ, and is bringing his wealth of experience in opening restaurants and bars to the venue. So, at night, the volume gets turned up a notch, as local and international DJs take to the decks.

The Birdcage

Guests can flock over to The Birdcage in Downtown Dubai from 16 August. The venue will be open from Tuesday to Thursday from 6pm to 2am and Friday to Sunday from 6pm to 3am.
