The first outpost of Dave’s Hot Chicken is located at The Walk, JBR.
Dave’s Hot Chicken may be backed by investors such as Drake and Samuel L. Jackson, but this is an eatery where the fried chicken speaks for itself. After all, what started as a pop-up in an East Hollywood parking lot in 2017 is now a fast-casual hit with multiple locations across the US, owing to its Nashville-style hot chicken. Now, after months of rumours, the Los Angeles export has made its debut in Dubai, welcoming diners at The Walk with its signature hot chicken tenders and sliders, along with sides like crispy fries, creamy mac and cheese, and housemade kale slaw.
Offered at seven different spice levels ranging from ‘No Spice’ to ‘Reaper’ (which requires a signed waiver for those who dare), each piece of juicy, hand-breaded chicken is spiced to order. Incidentally, Dave’s Hot Chicken has arrived in the UAE in partnership with Lavoya Restaurant Group. Established with the purpose of significantly transforming dining experiences, Lavoya introduces new and unique casual dining concepts to reshape the F&B industry in the GCC. Elsewhere, the group has seen recent success by bringing diverse new flavours to the region with international brands such as Barbar, the recently opened Joe and the Juice, and now Dave’s Hot Chicken.
The new outlet in JBR is inspired by urban culture and the streets of LA, featuring bright custom graffiti artwork created by artists especially flown from the US. With no plans to slow down, Dave’s Hot Chicken will open a second branch in Motor City in the coming weeks. Further down the line, new outposts are expected in 31 locations across the GCC – Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar included.
Walid Hajj, Co-Founder and CEO of Lavoya Restaurant Company says, “With the first location now open in Dubai, we are extremely excited to be bringing Dave’s Hot Chicken to the UAE and cannot wait to blow everyone’s mind. The brand already has an international cult following and is very successful in the US market. With its unique proposition and superior product, we expect the brand to perform equally as well in the local market, as we aim to bring the same quality and customer experience to the GCC.”
