Beirut’s Amelia Restaurant and Lounge opens in Dubai

Enjoy drinks, dining and DJs at this dramatic new venue. 

Dubai is an international city and that’s certainly the case when it comes to its dining scene. To prove the point, Amelia Restaurant and Lounge has opened in Downtown Dubai and celebrates global flavours. The restaurant started in Beirut, Lebanon, serves Japanese as well as Peruvian food, and has a hint of Mediterranean flavours. So far, so eclectic. 

When you visit Amelia Restaurant and Lounge, you’ll be struck by the sheer scale of the venue – not only is it located across three levels in Address Sky View, but it has made impressive use of the space. The high ceilings, hanging plants and sweeping staircases all add to the gothic drama.

As for that dramatic décor, it’s steampunk meets industrial chic. You’ll be wowed by the nifty nods to aviation, as there’s a giant propeller above the bar. Plus, the exposed bricks, brown leather booths and Art Deco touches give the place a refined yet rustic atmosphere. 

Amelia Restaurant and Lounge boasts a mouthwatering menu: raw dishes include ceviche, tiradito and sushi, and hot dishes include Wagyu steaks, lamb and poultry. While the signature dish is monkfish and squid, which is brought to life with a tangy lime and chilli tentsuyu. Plus, there’s a mixology menu and resident DJ, so you can get into the groove.
