Dubai restaurant Kinoya is opening in London’s Harrods

The ramen restaurant is opening its second branch.

It’s official: Kinoya is going global. The Dubai-born ramen restaurant is finally opening a second branch. While the journey time may take you longer, the location is just as exciting – London’s luxury department store, Harrods.

Kinoya in Harrods is set to open in 2023, and it will bring the restaurant’s signature izakaya and ramen experience to London, England. Harrods is one of the world’s most famous department stores, and boasts chefs and restaurants from across the globe.

Chef Neha Mishra says: “Opening Kinoya in Harrods, the most iconic department store in the world, feels serendipitously meaningful. The launch and partnership marks our London debut, and I am honoured and excited to bring our philosophy and unique take on Japanese cuisine to this buzzing city of London for customers to enjoy.”

Ashley Saxton, general manager of restaurants at Harrods, adds: “We are delighted to be bringing Kinoya’s renowned Japanese dining experience to London for the first time. The restaurant will offer our customers a celebration of Japanese food and culture through its authentic ramen and izakaya cuisine, curating a memorable all-encompassing food journey in our Knightsbridge store.”

Kinoya boasts one of Dubai’s most charming restaurant stories. Neha originally started the concept as a supper club entitled A Story of Food, which she ran from her home for nearly three years. Neha served more than 7,000 happy diners and became well-known for her signature ramen.

Kinoya opened its first restaurant in Dubai’s Onyx Tower in 2021 – as it was so popular, it was tough to get a reservation. If you’re one of the lucky diners who have managed to relish the ramen, you’ll know what all the foodie fuss is about.

Since then, Kinoya has notched up rave reviews from locals and critics. Kinoya has been awarded a place in the Michelin Guide Dubai’s Bib Gourmand list and the One to Watch Award by the World’s 50 Best Restaurants group.

Grab those chopsticks, ramen awaits.
