Reif Othman is opening two licensed restaurants in Dubai Hills

Residents of Dubai Hills take note…

Chef Reif Othman will launch two new licensed concepts at Dubai Hills Estate Business Park in Q4 2022.

The 80-cover Reif Japanese Kushiyaki restaurant will feature a more extensive menu than the original Dar Wasl location, with some limited-edition specials forming part of the expansive à la carte menu. Despite the elevated dining experience, the pricing will remain the same, allowing the first licensed Reif Japanese Kushiyaki to continue the brand’s reputation for offering value-for-money dining experiences. The interiors, designed by Govind Shepley, will retain some elements of the existing Reif Japanese Kushiyaki look and feel whilst adding a bar lounge, booth seating, and an outdoor terrace.

Meanwhile, TERO Chef’s Table (Dubai old-timers will remember ‘The Experience by Reif Othman‘ from its days on the upper level of The H Hotel) will seat up to 12 guests for a truly intimate and interactive culinary experience. Here, cosy apartment-style décor will allow this tasting menu experience to be booked as a private dining room for a group gathering or individual covers. Overlooking the kitchen, guests can expect a full view of the chefs in action.

“We have been scouting for the right licensed location for a long time now. The Dubai Hills complex will allow us to bring both the restaurant and chef’s table concepts into one destination – each with its own identity. Like with Dar Wasl, our strategy is to pick premises that come with their own following, enabling us to constantly reach out to a new customer base, whilst also catering to our existing clientele,” said Reif Othman, chef and co-owner, Hotaru Holdings.

This forthcoming opening from chef Reif Othman, who was awarded the peer-voted Chefs’ Choice award and a number 16 ranking in the inaugural MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants list, follows the launch earlier this year of a new unconventional streetwear store and café, Soleside by Reif in Al Wasl Vita Mall.

A recent signing of a new cuisine category with an unconventional Korean BBQ restaurant will see Hoe Lee Kow open at Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown in September.

Meanwhile, in Saudi Arabia, the first of three new franchised Reif Japanese Kushiyaki locations in Riyadh will open in The Esplanade Mall late in the summer months with 200 covers.
