The Nice Guy: A new mafia-inspired restaurant is coming to Emirates Towers

The Los Angeles brand serves Italian-style pizzas and pastas.

You know what they say – nice guys finish last. That’s certainly not the case, however, when it comes to the bar and restaurant The Nice Guy. Already popular with celebrities and critics in the United States, The Nice Guy in Dubai is hoping to gain some of that same success with its new venue.

The Nice Guy in Dubai is scheduled to open in Emirates Towers this autumn, and this will be its first location in the Middle East. Created by The h.wood Group, a Los Angeles-based hospitality and lifestyle company, The Nice Guy established their first reservations-only restaurant in Los Angeles and will also expand to Aspen in 2023.

Despite the name, The Nice Guy’s original bar in Los Angeles draws inspiration from an unlikely source: bars and restaurants, which were loved by the mafia. So, it’s a venue big enough and homely enough for an Italian gathering, be it with your mob family or real family. Basically, this is the kind of place that would look like it came straight out of a Martin Scorsese movie, as it aims to bring to life a Goodfellas vibe.

If The Nice Guy’s Los Angeles menu is anything to go by, you can expect Italian favourites popping up on the menu – think mozzarella, meatball and Margheritas aplenty. The original menu’s pizza options range from mushroom to lobster, and the pasta options range from rigatoni bolognese to a strozzapreti pesto.

The Nice Guy in Los Angeles is popular with A-listers, as diners spotted there include Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian and even Martha Stewart. The West Hollywood hotspot is by reservation-only, and we are expecting the Dubai outpost to be just as fancy. The original venue boasts a stylish interior with a marble and brass bar, dim-lighting and large booths – all for those big gatherings, of course.

Yes, more mister nice guy.
