Another day, another dinner-and-a-show concept to check out

The Scent Lounge is now open at Hilton Hotel Al Habtoor City.

Gone are the pre-pandemic days when dinner would suffice on a night out. Now, Dubai diners are looking to take things up a notch, seeking culinary experiences accented with live music, theatrical elements, and even gravity-defying stunts. Enter: The Scent Lounge, where entertainment inspired by French cabaret and French-Asian fusion cuisine go hand in hand, serving as a prime example of how the city’s dining scene is broadening its horizons.

The Scent Lounge

The extravagant new venue is located sky-high on the 44th floor of Hilton Hotel Al Habtoor City, welcoming guests from 10pm to 3am, Tuesday through Saturday. Here, the setting features luxe, velvet interiors contrasted with glimmering gold accents and topped with feathery pampas grass diffusing soft radiance across the venue, creating the ambiance of a world that exudes an inviting yet forbidden feeling.

The Scent Lounge

With two tiers of seating, guests are given a choice of enclosed booths offering total privacy or open seating to enjoy the show up close. Hybrid in design, the entertainment comprises an eclectic mix of live and DJ performances, with resident DJ Elie Hajjar taking charge of the decks. Interspersed with his tunes are outstanding performances by roaming cabaret acts moving smoothly from table to table.

As for what’s actually on the table? The menu features both hot and cold appetisers such as hamachi ceviche, tuna akami, chicken gyozas, and Angus beef sliders. The mains, meanwhile, includes the finest selection of sashimi and makis such as Alaskan salmon maki and crazy crab. The culinary journey is closed with a choice of desserts ranging from popcorn cheesecake with coconut caramel sauce to a selection of mochi. And complementing the French-Asian fusion cuisine at The Scent Lounge is the venue’s signature cocktail collection expertly crafted by professional mixologists.
