The team behind GAIA will launch six new Dubai restaurants this year

The exciting restaurants range from a beach club to a burger joint.

GAIA is one of the most critically acclaimed restaurants in Dubai. Not only has it been created by the dazzling duo Chef Izu Ani and Evgeny Kuzin, but it just earned a place at number 17 on Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023. Now, the unstoppable Fundamental Hospitality team has announced that they are launching six new concepts in Dubai this year and a global expansion over five years.

The team will open three new restaurants in DIFC, plus two beachside spots and one burger restaurant. The new DIFC restaurants include Evie’s, Kygo, and La Petit Ani. Evie’s transports you back in time to the 1920s, and combines a supper club experience with live music and entertainment. Kygo is a Japanese omakase restaurant, which translates to “I leave it up to you”, opening in Four Seasons DIFC. We’re expecting the chefs to take centre stage, using seasonal ingredients and curating the menu.

It’s not just about fine dining. Izu Burger is opening its first restaurant, and it will be located in Box Park. The La Maison Ani concept is expanding in DIFC and Palm Jumeirah. La Petit Ani will be an intimate French-Mediterranean boulangerie in DIFC. La Plage will be a French-Mediterranean beachside restaurant on Palm Jumeirah.

Sirene Beach by GAIA sounds like a beautiful beachside hotspot. Scheduled to launch in December, it will span 9,000 square metres. The venue will be home to entertainment, a lounge, pool and a restaurant. Plus, the site is located on the new development, J1 Beach at La Mer.

Not content with just the UAE, Fundamental Hospitality aim to open 100 venues across the world in five years. The locations include London, Miami, Marbella and Riyadh.

Fundamental Hospitality has plenty of fans, from the FACT team to Dubai’s royal family. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President and Ruler of Dubai, and HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, have been spotted at the team’s Alaya, Gaia and Shanghai Me. If the past success is anything to go by, the new restaurants look set to be a spectacular.
