Many Orthodox Christians annually celebrate Christmas Day on 7 January. Here is where you can enjoy the festivities in Dubai this year.

The popular Greek restaurant at Rixos Premium Dubai, JBR, invites diners to celebrate Orthodox Christmas with a limited-edition seafood platter. Perfect for the special occasion, the platter features 12 oysters, one grilled lobster, one Greek sea bream and two king prawns. Available on Thursday 6 January and Friday 7 January. Ayamna

To mark the festive occasion, Ayamna will introduce three special dishes to the menu, including a mixed grill with lamb kofta, shish taouk, lamb chops and tiger prawns, whole roasted lobster with caviar and a rack of lamb with burghul bill bandura. The drink of the night will be a delicious mulled grape cocktail. Friday 7 January, from 6pm to midnight.

Just as Yuletide celebrations wrap up, the magic of Orthodox Christmas sets in with an elegant feast at Brunello, complete with all the festive decor, music and cheer expected from Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah. The Orthodox Christmas Eve dinner also includes unlimited beverages. Thursday 6 January, from 7pm to 11pm. There’s a brand-new Orthodox Christmas experience in town courtesy of Japanese restaurant Nobu. Executive chef Damien Duviau has curated special dishes for the occasion, including King crab with caviar tofu cream sauce, wood oven-roasted rock lobster shiso salsa, and grilled salmon with grilled salmon cilantro jalapeno miso. Desserts are equally luxurious, featuring chocolate Satandagi and miso honey cake. Dishes will be complemented by premium spirits and innovative cocktails. Saffron invites guests to enjoy the coolest contemporary Orthodox Christmas celebration in town. The menu will consist of traditional dishes with exotic ingredients and delicious flavours, including Russian and Kraboviy salads, roasted whole duck with apples and, salmon coulibiac. The dessert menu will feature Christmas stollen, log cakes and chocolate cake pops. With a fun atmosphere and entertainment, including a live DJ and an appearance from Father Frost and the snow maiden, it promises to be a night to remember for both kids and adults.
