A.O.K Kitchen has opened its first international outpost

The London-based eaterie’s second location is in Riyadh.

All eyes are (rightfully) on Saudi Arabia’s burgeoning hospitality scene – Riyadh alone has seen LPM, EL&N and COYA debut in recent months. Now, the capital is marking its calendar for the opening of A.O.K Kitchen’s first international outpost in King Abdullah Financial District on Monday, 20 June.

For the uninitiated, the chic London-based dining concept was founded by second-generation restaurateur Kelly Landesberg in 2019 and rapidly gained recognition for its refined menu, much of it gluten- and dairy-free and all of it free from refined sugar. Designed by Saudi designer H.H. Princess Anoud Khaled Al Saud in line with the vision of Kelly Landesberg, A.O.K’s Riyadh location will mark the arrival of an intimate and inclusive new era in the city’s dining scene.

A.O.K Riyadh is launched in partnership with Saudi restaurateur Mohammed Jawa, who holds over 19 years of experience within the local market. His other forthcoming launches within the district include Zuma, Amazonico, Mr Chow, Black Tap and Pahli Hill. The new outpost, meanwhile, will offer a unique dining experience that doesn’t just cope with dietary requirements, but wholeheartedly caters to them. Incidentally, A.O.K stands for ‘All is Okay’, translating to a brand’s philosophy of curating a feel-good dining experience that accommodates everyone – puppies and small dogs included. They will be welcomed to join their owners on the restaurant’s terrace.

Made with a key focus on using quality ingredients that are from small and artisanal producers, A.O.K Riyadh’s menu will offer wholesome dishes inspired by the sun-soaked shores of the Mediterranean and California. To commemorate the opening, A.O.K. will introduce its first-ever afternoon tea experience, which will be available exclusively at the restaurant’s Riyadh venue. A true all-occasion dining destination, A.O.K. Riyadh will cater to breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner guests throughout the day. From freshly prepared Acai Bowls and gluten-free Blueberry Pancakes for breakfast to Seabass Ceviche and homemade gluten-free Gnocchi served later in the day, its menu promises to have something for everyone.
