Alaya, Cipriani Dolci, GAIA and La Maison Ani are heading to Saudi Arabia

Chef Izu will be opening restaurants in the Kingdom.

The UAE’s Fundamental Hospitality is getting ready for a culinary conquest in Saudi Arabia. The team will bring the restaurants Alaya, Cipriani Dolci, GAIA and La Maison Ani to the Kingdom. Plus, there will be expansions of the restaurants across the world.

Alaya will be opening in Saudi Arabia in 2025. The original concept can be found in Dubai, and the menu celebrates Mediterranean cuisine and features Middle Eastern influences. Drawing inspiration from Chef Izu’s travels, it aims to pay tribute to the richness of the region.

Cipriani Dolci will be opening in Al Safarat in Riyadh in 2024. The Venetian-inspired restaurant, Cipriani Dolci, can already be found in Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi and at Dubai Mall, HUNA Al Wasl Road, and Mall of the Emirates in Dubai. The all-day casual dining brings together desserts and pastries.

GAIA will open in Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in 2025. The Greek meets Mediterranean menu prides itself on showcasing traditional flavours and fresh ingredients. Named after the ancestral mother of all life in Greek mythology, the restaurant can already be found in Dubai and Doha.

La Maison Ani will be opening in Saudi Arabia in 2025. The original restaurant opened in Dubai in May 2022, and showcases French meets Mediterranean food. Plus, the menu includes the much-loved Izu burger.

Chef Izu has worked closely with Fundamental Hospitality and is the mastermind behind Alaya, Gaia, La Maison Ani and Maison de la Plage. He was born in Nigeria and raised in London. When he lived in France, he learnt to cook French food and immersed himself in the country’s culinary scene and culture.

Over the next six months, the major openings include GAIA in Marbella and La Maison Ani in London. The restaurant will open on 25 May in The Carlton Tower Jumeirah in Knightsbridge. Plus, Evie’s, KIGO and Sirene by GAIA will open in Dubai.

Evgeny Kuzin, Founder of Fundamental Hospitality, explained: “The last two years have seen unprecedented demand for our lifestyle concepts in the Middle East and Europe with sales up 160 per cent year on year. This demand together with our loyal following across the world reflects our ability to deliver original luxury concepts. I am proud to contribute to the progressive, forward-thinking country that is the UAE, which is shown in the way that this region is now leading the way globally in luxury hospitality.”
