The first hotel has opened in Saudi Arabia’s Neom

Hampton by Hilton Sharma is now open.

Saudi Arabia’s Neom is filled with exciting developments, from flights to football stadiums. Now, the megaproject has welcomed Hampton by Hilton Sharma. Here’s what we know about the first hotel to open in Neom.

Hampton by Hilton Sharma is home to 201 rooms and covers 8,200 square metres. Canyan Group signed the development agreement, and the hotel has been designed by Sabbour Consulting. Plus, it boasts sustainable energy-efficient systems.

Guests at the hotel can enjoy complimentary breakfast at the on-site restaurant called The Hub, swim laps at the outdoor swimming pool, work up a sweat at the 24-hour fitness centre or relax in the games room.

The hotel is located within walking distance of NEOM Community 1 and 30 minutes from NEOM Community 2 – with a shuttle for transportation to both. NEOM Bay Airport is 30 minutes away, Gayal Beach is a 20-minute drive and the city of Tabuk is accessible within two hours.

Ahmed Alhatti, President & Chairman of the Board at Cayan Group, explained: “We are excited to become part of the visionary and unique project that is NEOM, and to be taking this step together with our globally recognized and respected partners Hilton Hotels and Resorts and BEC Arabia. The leadership of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, crown prince and prime minister, has supported the private sector through such projects.”

Carlos Khneisser, Vice President of Development, Middle East and Africa, Hilton, added” “We’re delighted to be working with Cayan Group on the NEOM Community project. This signing signals Hilton’s ongoing efforts to contribute to the growth of the tourism sector in the Kingdom, our enduring commitment to both public and private sector partners and the growing demand for world-class offerings and new experiences throughout the Kingdom.”

Neom will be the size of Belgium and sits north of the Red Sea coastline. The exciting developments also range from Oxagan to Sindalah’s beaches and seas. Oxagon aims to be the world’s largest floating industrial complex. Sindalah Island will be a luxurious retreat with hotels, shops and restaurants. Plus, The Line aims to be a 170km-long residential complex with zero cars, zero streets, and zero carbon emissions within the world’s longest skyscraper.
