How do you like your waffles? At Novu Waffle in Riyadh you are spoilt for choice. Located in Al Olaya, it is a hip hangout and puts the humble waffle in the spotlight – and across its design.
Novu Waffle has the tagline: “Elevate your waffles, tantalise your tastebuds”. The concept first began as a takeaway, and grew in popularity. Now, it has expanded to a café, and is already proving popular.
Novu Waffle’s menu includes a range of options, sizes and shapes. Choose from the Classic, Belgian Chocolate, Choco Cinnamon, Chocolate Cookie, Chocolate Stuffed, Custard, Honey Cream Cheese, Maple and Pecan.
Spanning 100 square metres, Novu Waffle boasts a muted, minimalist design. The Spanish design studio, Masquespacio has designed the interiors. The café feels fun and futuristic, as though it has landed from outer space.
Novu Waffle includes white walls, floors, tables and seats, which are punctuated by a yellow glow. Throughout the space, there are indentations of a waffle across the design. The squares of a waffle can be found across the seats and windows, and give it a sense of uniformity.
Guests can choose from indoor and outdoor seating. Outside, there are pink seats with long tables, which make it great for groups. Plus, if you are short on time, there is also a delivery and pick up spot, which is in bright yellow.
Novu Waffle is open from Saturday to Thursday from 9am to 11pm.
