The new concept specialises in Saudi fusion cuisine.
We love Saudi Arabian cuisine at FACT, so we’re excited to hear that Wadi has opened in Laysen Valley, Riyadh. The new restaurant specialises in Saudi fusion cuisine.
Wadi feels like a contemporary love letter to Saudi design. The dining room opens in soft, natural tones, with gentle curves and arched niches that frame ceramics and greenery. Low, comfortable seating sets an easy rhythm across the Terrazzo floor, while textiles pick up subtle Sadu motifs for a quiet hit of colour and craft. A statement indoor tree anchors the centre, complemented by display shelves styled like a modern majlis. The result is a calm, contemporary setting that feels unmistakably local.

Wadi’s menu blends Saudi heritage with global inspiration across comfort-led courses. Begin with Leek & Potato Soup or a range of Salads, including Aslat with smoked “Eqt” dressing and Al-Jouf olives or Burrata “Huwara” over roasted tomato and date balsamic.
Cold mezze includes Lubb (wagyu with roasted bone marrow and hummus), a Date-molasses Muhammara, and smoky eggplant with Al-Jouf olive oil. Hot plates reimagine favourites such as Jaranchini (Saudi-style arancini), Mantu-meets-gyoza Dumplings, Kibbeh with Walnut Butter, and Slow-cooked Wagyu on sourdough.
From the oven, Cheese Pie with Truffle, Bashik topped with spiced mince, and Baked Pasta with Saudi Pesto prevail. Mains span Lamb Neck with Haneeth Spices, Maghreb-inspired Lamb Chops, Wagyu Rib-eye, Charcoal-grilled Fish in Mutafiy Sauce, and Hasawi Cracked Wheat with Shrimp. Sides keep it classic, while desserts add local flair with Cardamom Rice Pudding, Ginger Crème Brûlée and Hibiscus Panna Cotta.

The name Wadi originates from the Arabic word for “river”, and the concept aims to combine high-quality ingredients and a luxurious atmosphere to create a one-of-a-kind experience. The restaurant has been designed by Paul Bishop, known for his work on BOHO Social, En Feugo, SLS Hotel & Residences and Torno Subito in Dubai.
