The hotel includes 210 rooms and seven restaurants.

W Hotels can be found across the world, from Abu Dhabi to London. Now, the hospitality brand has officially arrived in Saudi Arabia. Opening on 20 April 2026, W Riyadh – KAFD marks the brand’s first property in the Kingdom, bringing its high-energy take on luxury lifestyle hospitality to King Abdullah Financial District. The 210-room hotel has been designed as a day-to-night destination where dining, design and social experiences sit at the heart of the guest journey.

The interiors, created by LW Design, draw on Saudi heritage while embracing the energy of contemporary Riyadh. Throughout the property, references to Najdi textiles and traditional Al Sadu weaving are reinterpreted in a more modern context. Stone and veined marble echo the tones of the Kingdom’s desert and mountain landscapes, while geometric textures add depth across the public spaces and guestrooms. In the lobby, a six-metre tapestry by Saudi artist Abdulnasser Gharem sets the tone, surrounded by sculptural features and floor-to-ceiling curtains inspired by the early stages of weaving. The W Lounge also takes cues from traditional gathering rituals, with circular banquettes and sunken tables inspired by Bedouin firepit settings.

Accommodation includes 210 rooms, among them 17 suites, two penthouse suites and the expansive W Penthouse. Guestrooms feature rich tones of green, ruby, gold and bronze, paired with contemporary textiles and wall art that incorporates both Arabic and English typography. The standout W Penthouse spans 390 square metres and includes two bedrooms, dedicated living and dining spaces, a kitchenette, an office, and private wellness features such as a gym area, steam room, and sauna. A striking installation of wooden and illuminated spheres references Subha prayer beads, adding a thoughtful cultural layer to the design.

Dining is expected to play a major role in the hotel’s appeal. Sira introduces a Latin American-inspired menu centred around open-fire cooking, while Beni offers speciality coffee and artisanal ice cream in a more relaxed all-day setting. The WET Deck brings Mediterranean flavours to the outdoor poolside space, complete with cabanas and loungers. Later this year, Sahari will join the line-up as an outdoor lounge geared towards performances and late-night socialising.
