The luxury lifestyle development will feature over 400 shops and restaurants.

Diriyah is one of Saudi Arabia’s most marvellous megaprojects. The development is home to cafés, restaurants, hotels and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Now, it is set to welcome Diriyah Square.

Diriyah Company, backed by the Public Investment Fund, has awarded the Italian contractor Webuild the contract to create Diriyah Square. The US$600 million contract encompasses the construction of over 70 buildings and public spaces. The site is more than 50 per cent complete and looks set to be an exciting development.

Diriyah Square

Diriyah Square will be designed in line with traditional Najdi architecture. This style is already found throughout Diriyah, and brings to life the history and heritage of the area. Spanning 365,000 square metres, the site also includes an underground multi-storey car park with a capacity of 10,500 vehicles.

Diriyah Square

Diriyah Square will be pedestrian-friendly, with walking routes throughout. Visitors will be able to access the At-Turaif UNESCO World Heritage Site and Wadi Hanifah. The development will feature more than 400 shops, cafés, restaurants, museums, and a university. Plus, it will feature the Diriyah Arena, the Royal Diriyah Opera House, the Royal Golf Club, and the Royal Equestrian and Polo Club.

Diriyah Square will include eight zones: premium dining, department stores, entertainment and dining, anchor lifestyle retail, luxury retail, lifestyle retail, and culture and dining.

Diriyah Square

Webuild is no stranger to Riyadh, having worked on the creation of the high-speed rail line, three dams, and a freshwater lake for Trojena, as well as an urbanisation plan in Riyadh.
