WWE Night of Champions returns to Saudi Arabia this summer

The WWE Night of Champions event will take place in Riyadh.

Do you know your power slam from your mandible claw? Well, you’ll be thrilled to hear that the WWE is set to make a historic return to Saudi Arabia on Saturday, 28 June, for the Night of Champions event. Following success in Jeddah last year, the World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned in Riyadh in 2025.

The WWE Night of Champions event will take place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, promising to bring some of the biggest WWE stars together for an epic face-off in the Kingdom. Fans can be part of this historic moment by getting their tickets and experiencing the thrill of the tournament in person. This marks the first time SmackDown will be held in Saudi Arabia’s capital and will feature some of the biggest WWE Superstars from the Raw and SmackDown brands. 

Saudi Arabia has emerged as a pivotal hub for WWE events, hosting prestigious editions of the WWE Crown Jewel and WWE attractions at Riyadh Season. Esteemed wrestlers such as Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins have even graced the Kingdom during these events.

If you grew up in Saudi Arabia, you were probably glued to the TV screen on Channel 2, watching WWF on late weekend nights. SmackDown — also known as Friday Night SmackDown — is a televised wrestling extravaganza that typically airs on weekends. However, with the upcoming event in Saudi Arabia, you’ll have the unique opportunity to witness all the action live in the capital.

In other WWE news, Riyadh will host the WWE Royal Rumble in January 2026 — marking a historic first for the WWE series outside of North America. It’ll also be the 39th annual Royal Rumble, forming part of Riyadh Season’s lineup of events. The wrestling tournament is backed by WWE and Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, as announced by Turki Alalshikh.
