The Saudi carrier is widening its reach across Europe, Asia and the MENA region.
Ever since Riyadh Air was announced, the Saudi carrier has been one of the region’s most closely watched aviation projects. Backed by the Public Investment Fund, the airline has played a major role in advancing the Kingdom’s wider ambition to strengthen its standing as a global travel and business hub. Now, Riyadh Air is adding 15 destinations to its growing roster.
The latest expansion stretches across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, giving travellers more options for both regional and international journeys. It also signals Riyadh Air’s intention to connect the Kingdom to some of the world’s busiest and most in-demand cities.
In Europe, Riyadh Air’s network includes London Heathrow and Manchester in the United Kingdom, as well as Madrid and Paris. These routes link the Saudi capital with major cultural, commercial and tourism centres, while also strengthening ties with key European markets.

Closer to home, the airline is expanding across the MENA region with flights to Jeddah, Dubai, Amman and Cairo. These are some of the most popular and strategically important destinations in the region, appealing to both leisure and business travellers. The additions also reinforce Riyadh Air’s role in improving regional connectivity, while making it easier to travel between Saudi Arabia and neighbouring hubs.
Asia also features prominently in the airline’s latest rollout. Riyadh Air is set to serve Islamabad and Karachi in Pakistan, as well as Mumbai in India. In Southeast Asia, the network will include Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Manila, covering a mix of established tourism favourites and major economic centres.
The airline’s growth is closely aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the Kingdom’s economy and create new revenue streams beyond oil. Riyadh Air is expected to contribute significantly to that ambition, with projections suggesting it could add USD 20 billion to the economy and create more than 200,000 jobs.
Supporting that expansion is an ambitious fleet plan. Riyadh Air’s aircraft lineup includes 72 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, with 60 Airbus A321neos and 75 Airbus A350-1000s expected to follow. With more than 200 aircraft planned, the airline is laying the groundwork for a major long-term presence in the skies.
And with additional destinations expected to be announced in the future, Riyadh Air’s rapid rise is only just getting started.
