Two huge R&B acts will headline Azimuth 2022 this weekend

The two new additions complete an epic lineup that already features DJ Snake, Kelis, Cosmicat and Dish Dash.

With Saudi National Day celebrations on the horizon, AlUla is once again where it’s at, hosting the return of the Azimuth music festival. Taking place from 22 to 24 September, it will celebrate the union of Eastern and Western minds through music, art and gastronomy, bringing together artists and DJs from around the world.

The event will take place in the same desert canyon that recently hosted Sarab, the site-responsive art exhibition of Desert X AlUla 2022 and in addition to the already confirmed lineup of international talents, including DJ Snake, Kelis, Cosmicat and Dish Dash, we have two new names for you.

American superstar Jason Derulo is set to take the AlUla stage on Friday, 23 September, as part of the Saudi National Day 2022 celebrations in AlUla. 

Since breaking through with his five-times-platinum single Whatcha Say, Derulo has sold more than 200 million records worldwide. His latest triumphs include emerging as one of TikTok’s most influential users, his 53 million followers put him as the 11th overall biggest account on the video-sharing platform. Now at work on his highly anticipated fifth album, Derulo recently delivered a series of smash singles including Savage Love, Acapulco, and Take You Dancing. Jason Derulo will follow his show in Saudi with another Middle Easter performance, taking to the stage at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena on Friday, 28 October.

Also joining the Azimuth 2022 is Canadian R&B duo Majid Jordan. The frequent Drake collaborators will perform a special DJ set amidst the canyons of AlUla on Thursday, 22 September. Singer Majid Al Maskati and producer Jordan Ullman are known for their hit tracks My Love and Stars Align featuring Drake, and Caught Up featuring Khalid.

With Azimuth taking place over the Saudi National Day holiday, KSA residents and visitors can make the most of the long weekend and take advantage of the stunning landscapes that AlUla is known for. Between the sunrise and sunset events, attendees can refuel at the various zones where food and drinks will await.
