The spirit of Havana is coming to Dubai. Estrellas de Buena Vista y Más, featuring original members of the iconic Buena Vista Social Club, will take the stage at the Dubai World Trade Centre on 22 October.
The performance will be led by Pancho Amat, one of the world’s foremost tres players. The 14-piece ensemble fuses the golden era of Cuban music with contemporary energy. Joining Pancho are original Buena Vista Social Club members Carlos Calunga, Lázaro Villa, Ángel Terry, and Alberto “Molote” Muñoz, along with a new wave of emerging Cuban talent.
Audiences can expect an evening of Cuban classics, including “Chan Chan” and “La Negra Tomasa,” as well as a vibrant showcase of Son Cubano, Bolero, Danzón, and Afro-Cuban jazz – all designed to transport listeners to the heart of Havana.
Pancho explains: “Every time we step on stage, we carry the heart of Cuba with us – its music, its stories, and its soul. Dubai will feel the same warmth, rhythm, and joy that has kept our traditions alive for generations. We can’t wait to share this magic with the city.”

Nitish Bansal, Head of Live Entertainment at DXB Live, added: “Dubai is a city that embraces cultures from around the world, and hosting the timeless sound of Cuba here is a celebration of that spirit. We are proud to bring Estrellas de Buena Vista y Más to this vibrant stage, where world-class music meets a world-class city.”
Estrellas de Buena Vista y Más is presented by DXB Live and Habana Events Management, and promises an evening that combines music, culture and heritage. Doors open at 8pm, with the performance running from 8.30pm to 11pm.
