ODEON is Dubai’s new spot for French food lovers

Jumeriah Beach Road is home to a plethora of homegrown restaurants, Instagrammable coffee shops, and tried and tested culinary favourites that have stood the test of time along this busy thoroughfare that separates the waters of the Arabian Gulf from the city of Dubai.
Yet, a new opening is fast becoming the talk of the town. Enter: ODEON. More than just another French Restaurant, this unassuming spot can be found in a brilliant white villa at the junction of Umm Al Sheif Road and Jumeirah Beach Road, close to the ever-popular Kite Beach.
Behind the gilded golden shutters and pretty facade, a culinary adventure awaits diners in search of more than just a restaurant but an experience. ODEON, a partnership between Chef Thomas Duhamel (Stay by Yannick Alleno and Zuma Dubai) and his wife Morgane, aims to bring a slice of Parisian life to Dubai. The multi-faceted venue encompasses a market, restaurant and catering arm to ensure all of your culinary needs are well and truly taken care of.
The Market
Split across several distinct spaces, Odeon’s ground floor is home to The Market, a retail hub featuring a range of quality French produce available to purchase from the butchery, cheesemonger, fishmonger and boulangerie. The modern space also offers a deli counter for grab-and-go items, fruit and vegetable displays, dry pantry items and a frozen section. All products at Le Marché d’Odeon are inspired by traditional French markets and have been hand-selected by chef Thomas himself.
The Restaurant
On the first floor, discerning diners can discover a luxurious French brasserie called The Signature Restaurant, where chef Thomas has crafted a menu of modern French cuisine inspired by classic dishes of the French terroir. Highlights include escargots, veal escalope with mushrooms sauce, duck leg confit, and a selection of homemade French pastries. The Restaurant is open from 8am daily and is ideal for breakfast with friends, a leisurely lunch with colleagues, or an intimate date night dinner. Here, in the chic dining room, guests will be transported to the street of Paris, where velvet benches and tables covered with white tablecloths set the scene for a memorable meal. A second-floor rooftop terrace providing stunning skyline views for al fresco dining will open in October.
Catering
In a city of endless food options, Odeon provides a delicious and efficient catering service for between two and two hundred guests. Available seven days a week, the Odeon events team will whip up a fancy French feast for your corporate meetings, baby showers or birthday parties. So whether you’re after a bombastic buffet, casual coffee break, cocktail reception or a private chef, Odeon has the set-up to suit your requirements.
With a 360 approach to French food executed with finesse, ODEON has been nominated in the ‘French’ category at this year’s FACT Dining Awards Dubai 2022.
