Partner Content: A host of dining outlets are supporting the breast cancer initiative this month.

With the arrival of October comes the return of one very important initiative: Pinktober. Marked globally alongside Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the campaign creates awareness and educates women about breast cancer, addressing the most common types of breast cancer and any warning signs involved. Naturally, leading hotel properties across the city are playing their part in supporting the cause through a variety of activities, The St. Regis Downtown Dubai included.

All related proceeds will be donated to the Al Jalila Foundation, which has made great strides to advance breast cancer care in the UAE since its inception in 2013, investing over AED 8.5 million into life-saving treatment and funding several breast cancer research studies. The Library

Exquisite in Pink Afternoon Tea

The Library lobby lounge is supporting the initiative with an ‘Exquisite in Pink’ afternoon tea and special cake selection. Taking place daily from 2pm to 6pm, the afternoon tea features a culinary selection of Pinktober-inspired treats such as hibiscus éclair, beetroot-grapefruit macaron, and pink framboise tartlet served with its signature leaf teas or specialty coffees. The selection of scrumptious cakes that are on offer daily include the ruby yuzu dome and strawberry chocolate mendiant. The ‘Exquisite in Pink’ afternoon tea is priced AED 195 per person, while cakes start from AED 45.

Stop and Smell the Rosé

Celebrated Italian restaurant Basta is supporting Pinktober with a hand-selected list of Rosé grape and bubbly offerings. Head to the terrace overlooking Dubai Water Canal anytime from 12:30pm to midnight and accent your meal with a glass or bottle of rosé to support the initiative. A glass of Rosé starts at AED 50, while a glass of Rosé bubbly starts from AED 55. Bottles of Rosé, meanwhile, start at AED 240.

At this intimate venue, guests from all over the world can indulge in world-class cocktails and delicious bites under a makeshift starry sky from 5pm to 3am. Here, the team of mixologists has created a crafted cocktail menu with creations such as Penrose Negroni and Think Pink in support of Pinktober. Resident DJ OraBeats will add to the ambience with her selection of upbeat house and urban soul music. The house-crafted pink cocktails start from AED 65.
