Get your glamping on at Sharjah’s Mleiha

Sharjah’s Mleiha is turning camping up a notch, thanks to glamping inside luxury yurt tents. Taking place at the base of Al Faya Mountain, here’s what to expect from the exciting new experience.

Sharjah’s Mleiha gives visitors the chance to come face-to-face with the beauty of the desert and mountains. There are plenty of fun-filled activities: learn about the history of the grounds, drive along the dunes, watch the sunrise and enjoy a stargazing session. During the 20-minute stargazing session, you may get the chance to see the Moon, Saturn and even Jupiter.

If you’re camping curious but need hotel comforts, don’t despair. Sharjah’s Mleiha’s experience includes pillow topped mattresses, wooden furniture and set menus. The food options include a picnic basket and dishes prepared by chefs on-site. The menu covers salads, BBQ bites and desserts.

The salads include Arabic bread, fattoush, hummus, mixed pickles. The BBQ dishes include beef escalope, chicken wings, lamb kofta and shish tawook. The desserts include basbousa, umm ali and watermelon. Plus, you can go full Bear Grylls and bring your own food and cooking equipment.

While you are there, make a visit to the Al Faya mountains, which sit 31 miles east of Sharjah. Plus, it is located between the shoreline of the Gulf and Al Hajar Mountains.  

Sharjah’s Mleiha’s experience runs from 5pm to 9am the next day. Guests can enjoy a shuttle service in Mercedes UniMog, and complimentary access to Mleiha Archaeological Centre. 

The standard tent for two adults starts from AED 1,295. The family tent for two adults and two children starts from AED 1,550. The venue booking for five standard tents costs AED 5,200. The venue booking for five family tents costs AED 6,450.
