Rainforest camping returns to Dubai

The unique indoor experience is offered by The Green Planet.

The Green Planet isn’t simply home to over 3,000 plants and animals. It’s also a go-to destination for unique and unexpected experiences offered amidst an indoor ecosystem – rainforest yoga sessions and snorkelling with piranhas included. Now, it’s gearing up for the return of the region’s only rainforest camping experience.

Aptly dubbed Camping in the Rainforest, the popular offering is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to spend a night in the tropical biodome and relaunches on Friday, 27 May. Guests can pre-book their spaces for select Fridays and Saturdays until Saturday, 27 August to enjoy the rainforest in all its glory. And as The Green Planet’s mission is to teach visitors about the ever-growing number of animal and plant species at Dubai’s only indoor rainforest, it’s the perfect blend of education and recreation for little explorers and nature-loving adults alike.

After making a booking in advance online, you can enjoy exclusive access to the rainforest’s wonders from 7pm until 7am the next morning, spending the night in one of The Green Planet’s comfortable tents. You’ll discover the rainforest’s enchantments by learning about the rainforest’s most mysterious little friends in a nocturnal animal tour and relax in the evening after a BBQ dinner at The Green Planet’s Café – complete with roasting marshmallows and a nature-themed movie – before falling asleep under the biodome stars to the soft coos and songs of the rainforest’s exotic birds.

With a trained staff member and security guard with you at all times, you are guaranteed to have an enjoyable and safe night’s sleep. Up bright and early in the morning, you will also be able to enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour to help feed the animals their breakfast before enjoying breakfast of your own at The Green Planet Café. Priced AED 700 for a party of up to two and AED 1,400 for a party of up to four, the experience accommodates a total of 24 people per night and advanced booking is required.
