The only licensed Ice Bar in the GCC is opening in Dubai

The ice experience launches on 1 July in Dubai.

If there’s one thing that London is infamous for, it’s the cold weather. As the UAE hits highs of 50 degrees Celsius, The London Project has got those chills and they’re multiplying, as it launches the first-ever licensed Ice Bar in the GCC.

The venue’s Summer Chills season starts from July 1 and includes the opening of Ice Bar, which will be the coolest way to cool down in Dubai. Located on Bluewaters Island, Ice Bar will be serving cocktails – from frozen glasses, of course – in collaboration with Beluga.

It’s all a bit Disney’s Frozen meets a James Bond villain’s ice palace. As long as your phone doesn’t freeze, there are Instagram opportunities aplenty. You’ll be snapping the ice throne, ice penguin sculptures and ice bench. And, if the cold does bother you anyway, don’t worry – you’ll be wrapped up in a faux fur coat, which will keep you feeling snug and stylish.

Stephen Valentino, CEO of The London Project, says: “I absolutely love how Dubai thinks outside the box. So, let’s do an Ice Bar in the summer heat. Welcome to Summer Chills at the London Project, we are always effortlessly cool.”

The London Project also aims to raise awareness about a fitting cause: polar bears. The venue supports the International Polar Bear Organization. And, on your visit, guests are randomly gifted a symbolic eco-adoption certificate of cubs.

When you want to warm up, pre- or post-Ice Bar, check out The London Project’s new raw dining bar. The new dishes include Hokkaido scallops, Scottish king salmon and oysters of the day.

If you order three raw bar dishes (AED 499) or five raw bar dishes (AED 599), you’ll receive a bottle of Pink as Flamingo rosé or three Beluga cocktails, and access to the Ice Bar for three guests. And, if you just want to enter the Ice Bar, it costs AED 99 and includes a drink inside the bar.
