Saudi Arabia’s Neom Airlines is taking off in 2024
The spectacular service includes 6G WiFi, flexible flights and in-seat gaming.
If you dream about time travelling into the future, a visit to Saudi Arabia’s Neom might be the closest thing. The megaproject will be home to futuristic features, from flying taxis to a glow-in-the-dark moon. Now, travel to the new location will be easier, as Neom Airlines has announced that is launched in 2024.
Neom Airlines aims to make travel as seamless as possible. Neom Airlines will start from Neom Bay Airport, and will then move to Neom International Airport. Neom Bay Airport currently operates flights to Dubai and London. Neom International Airport plans to service Asia, America, Europe and the Middle East.
The personalised service will create a first-class experience for everyone. We’re talking a lounge-style airport with the flexibility to change your flight. Plus, if you love a good movie (or three) on a flight, Neom Airlines will be home to exciting entertainment. Sure, there’ll be big screens, but there’ll also be gaming and 6G WiFi.
Neom Airline’s CEO, Klaus Goersch explained: “Just imagine if your bags were collected from your home or office and delivered to the hotel or residence you were going to. Imagine if biometrics were advanced enough to recognise you via facial recognition as soon as you walked into a building, security clearing you for travel without the need for even going through a gate – let alone having to bother with a visa. This ‘new future’ is what we are building in the North West of Saudi Arabia.”
Upon completion, Neom will be the size of Belgium and sits north of the Red Sea coastline. The exciting developments also include Oxagan, Sindalah’s beaches and seas, The Line and Trojena’s mountainous slopes.
Saudi Arabia’s aviation industry has definitely taken off. flydubai announced direct flights from Dubai to Neom, which take place twice per week. Plus, the kingdom unveiled a new national airline, Riyadh Air, which will connect the capital to more than 100 destinations across the world.
Strap in, it’s going to be an exciting ride.
