Now, EuroLeague Basketball is bringing a brand-new competition to Abu Dhabi, with the inaugural EuroLeague Basketball SuperCup taking place at Etihad Arena on Yas Island.
The Euroleague Basketball SuperCup 2026 is a new four-team competition designed to open the European club basketball season. The two-day event, taking place on 18 and 19 September 2026, will bring together four elite teams for a high-profile Final Four basketball tournament, giving fans the chance to watch some of Europe’s biggest clubs compete before the regular EuroLeague season gets underway.
The inaugural edition will feature four teams: Dubai Basketball, Fenerbahce Tarfin Istanbul, Real Madrid and Olympiacos Piraeus. Two semi-finals will be played on the opening day, followed by the final and other tournament action on the second day. For basketball fans visiting Abu Dhabi for the weekend, the format makes it possible to turn the event into a full Yas Island basketball weekend, with multiple games taking place across two-days of competition.
Hosting the inaugural Euroleague Basketball SuperCup 2026 is another opportunity to bring world-class European basketball to UAE audiences while showcasing Abu Dhabi and Yas Island to visiting fans from around the world.
