The Kooya x Museum Café pop-ups take place in June.

Culture and cuisine come together in a special collaboration. The FACT Dining Award winner, Kooya Filipino Eatery, will host two pop-ups at Louvre Abu Dhabi. The Kooya x Museum Café pop-ups will take place across two weekends, on 13, 14, 27, and 28 June, from 6pm to 11pm.

Groupe Barrière Museum Café will be welcoming Filipino Chef JP Anglo, who is the mastermind behind Kooya Filipino Eatery. He is also responsible for Sarsa in the Philippines, which offers soulful Filipino flavours. The Kooya x Museum Café pop-ups aim to celebrate Filipino heritage.

Starters include Bulalo Empanadas, Crispy Okoy Fritters, and Golden Lumpia Shanghai. Mains include Adobo Fried Chicken; Beef Belly Caldereta with braised beef in grilled tomato sauce; Kare Kare stew in a smoked peanut sauce; and Gising Gising with vegetables, coconut cream and fish roe; and Palabok noodles with squid ink. Desserts include Halo Halo, with shaved ice, ice cream and 16 toppings layered over yam; and Silvanas’ delicate buttercream sandwich cookies.

The Kooya x Museum Café pop-ups will also offer a selection of cocktails and mocktails, which draw inspiration from the Philippines’ landscapes and fruits. The options include a Calamansi and Basil Cooler, Gin Pomelo, and Lemongrass Iced Tea with Kaffir Lime.

If you want to experience more of Kooya Filipino Eatery, then join its culinary collaboration with Chef Akmal Anuar from the successful restaurant, Harummanis. The two chefs have teamed up for a four-hands dinner on 18 June in Dubai’s Was1 51.
