Abu Dhabi is heating up. The Open Fire Food Festival is back, and is hosted by the American TV presenter, Steve Harvey. Running from 8 to 9 November in Etihad Park on Yas Island, the event showcases the primal art of cooking over open flames.

Open Fire Food Festival’s tagline is: “BBQ. Heat. Feast.” At the festival, visitors have the chance to learn about the tantalising art of open-flame cooking. Expect live cooking stations, celebrity chefs, and numerous opportunities to savour delicious food.

At the heart of the festival are the buzzing Open Fire Backyards. Visitors have the opportunity to see live-fire cooking from a front-row seat and enjoy hands-on experiences. Whether you’re an at-home BBQ master or a full-on foodie, this offers a fun-filled time out.

The full list of food stalls has not yet been confirmed. In the lead-up to the event, the names will be announced. In previous years, it has included American barbecue expert Moe Cason, Memphis BBQ Company creator Melissa Cookston, and award-winning author and TV presenter, Steven Raichlen.

Steve is no stranger to the Middle East, having visited the UAE multiple times. Born in West Virginia, United States, Harvey rose from humble beginnings to become a powerhouse in the entertainment industry. His book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man was adapted into the hit movie Think Like a Man, further solidifying his status as a cultural icon.

Steve Harvey recently told FACT: “I chose Abu Dhabi specifically because that’s one of the most family-oriented places in the UAE. To create a space where everyone can share their culture and also get a taste of someone else’s is the ultimate learning experience.”

Tickets for the Open Fire Food Festival are available now.
