Things have changed somewhat since the original Oktoberfest, which celebrated the marriage of the crown prince of Bavaria in 1810. However, Oktoberfest festivities remain strong over 200 years later. This is how to celebrate the world’s largest folk festival with Oktoberfest parties in Dubai and Abu Dhabi,

Atlantis, The Palm

Atlantis, The Palm’s epic party brunch, will transform into an Oktoberfest extravaganza. Tuck into German classics like Flammkuchen, Königsberger Klopse, Zwiebelkuchen, and Hähnchenschnitzel with sunny-side up eggs, alongside live cooking stations. The beverage stations at the Saffron brunch will serve up Oktoberfest-themed drinks, including German beer, frozen cocktails, spirits, and house wine. Barasti

Oktoberfest has arrived at Barasti Beach Bar with a Bavarian celebration of traditional German dishes, beer specials, and nightly live music. Expect festive décor, communal wooden benches, and a lively atmosphere that rolls from day into night. Dine on Obatzda and homemade pretzels, Munich’s famed Weisswurst with sweet mustard or Wiener Schnitzel and German Potato Salad. For dessert, choose between warm Apfelstrudel or pillowy Krapfen Doughnuts. Drinks come by the stein, with pitchers for the table and spirited rounds of Jäger. Barvarian Beerhouse

The new all-German bar at Towers Rotana brings Oktoberfest spirit to Dubai with themed offers, live Oompah music and plenty of atmosphere. Feast on Bavarian classics, explore special German beers, and expect plenty of dancing. Available from 23 September to 31 October.

Crafty Fox

Oktoberfest returns to Crafty Fox Gastropub at Jumeirah Golf Estates with two lively weekends of Bavarian food, hops and live music. The menu features Munich classics, including freshly baked Brezn, crisp Flammkuchen, and golden schnitzels served with mashed potatoes, lemon, and mushroom gravy. The Bavarian Sausage Corner serves Münchner Weißwurst, Currywurst “Heiße Paula” and grilled Bratwurst with traditional sides. Prepare your Lederhosen and Dirndls because Oktoberfest is making a triumphant return to Ernst Biergarten at 25hours Hotel One Central this month. The expansive restaurant is pulling out all the stops to ensure every guest enjoys a Bavarian experience, with a line-up of live bands from Germany. Diners can enjoy a menu of Bratwurst, Lamb Roasts and Veal Schnitzel. Drink highlights include the three-litre beer tower or Paulaner Shoe for AED 330 and the thirty-litre Viking Keg for AED 2,950. The brilliant Brazilian churrascaria at Fairmont The Palm is throwing an Oktoberfest celebration with a South American twist, transforming into a lively Bavarian–Brazilian hub with festive décor, themed counters and a team dressed in traditional lederhosen and dirndl. On the menu are unlimited cuts of premium churrasco, carved at the table, paired with German Paulaner draft beer, a pretzel station, and a Brazilian band. Available from 25 September to 4 October. Oktoberfest is back at garden on 8. The rooftop restaurant will host a massive celebration featuring hearty German-inspired dishes and plenty of ice-cold brews. The festivities kick off on 1 October with an Oktoberfest Quiz Night. On 4 October, there will be a special Oktoberfest brunch, alongside live screenings of South Africa Vs. Argentina at 5pm and Bayern Munich Vs. Frankfurt at 6:30pm.
