The new destination is expected to blend recreation in a natural setting.

Dubai is a city that never sits still, and there’s always something fresh emerging. This time around, it’s the newly announced Al Layan Oasis that celebrates the beauty of the desert in a new way.

Located around 50 minutes from the city centre, Al Layan Oasis will sit along Dubai’s caravan route and connect with existing paths in Al Marmoom. It is touted as one of Dubai’s most ambitious nature-focused developments to date.

Spanning one million square metres, the project is built around a natural landscape that includes a lake, greenery, and desert scenery all in one place. It’s being designed as a tranquil escape from urban life.

Al Layan Oasis will blend recreation, relaxation, and community-focused experiences within a single natural setting. You can expect extensive walking and cycling trails, shaded areas, native planting, dedicated event spaces, and a wide selection of retail and dining outlets.

The development is divided into four zones, each offering its own unique atmosphere. The Gathering Oasis will serve as the social hub, featuring an open-air cinema, amphitheatre, food truck zones, and event spaces designed for entertainment and community. The Family Oasis will focus on relaxed outings, featuring rest areas, dedicated children’s play zones, and amenities tailored for families.

For those keen to immerse themselves in the desert lifestyle, the Camping Oasis will accommodate up to 100 caravans. Meanwhile, the Recreation Oasis will bring together activities, retail options, and essential services within a sustainable natural setting.

The launch of Al Layan Oasis was announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The destination is expected to attract around 330,000 visitors annually. It’s designed to support physical and mental well-being, while encouraging an active lifestyle.

Al Layan Oasis is a strategic addition to Dubai’s expanding network of parks, public spaces, and environmental attractions. Designed to balance tourism with conservation, the project reflects the emirate’s approach to urban planning. So if you’re looking for a new place to explore, this is where you ought to be.
