Khawla Art Gallery in Dubai launches the Summer Collective

The exhibition will run for two months at D3.

Art buffs, this one’s for you. Khawla Art Gallery is launching its first-ever Summer Collective. The event will showcase an array of works from emerging and established artists, and here’s what you need to know.

Starting on 10 July and running until 31 August, this two-month exhibition will feature miniature paintings, upcycled art, oil and acrylic paintings, calligraphy, and charcoal drawings. Each piece tells a unique story, reflecting the voices of the artists.

Some of the artists displaying their work include Abdelkrim Mancer, Ahlam Ismail, Amal Salloum, Fafi Balhawan, Nidal Khaddour and many others. Their pieces will create a mix that promises to captivate and inspire others choosing to tread the same path of expressionism.

For those unfamiliar with Khawla Art Gallery, it was founded by Her Highness Sheikha Khawla Bint Ahmed Khalifa Al-Suwaidi. She wanted to shine a special spotlight on calligraphy but then decided to take it up a notch with a complete gallery. Through the art gallery, she aims to create a community where people can appreciate Middle Eastern voices and learn from each other.

Since its inception, Khawla Art Gallery has been at the forefront of connecting art with rich Middle Eastern heritage. Through exhibitions, art fairs, and various projects, it helps its artists gain visibility — locally and globally. It also engages the community through lectures, workshops, events, and talks, igniting an appreciation for the art form.

By bringing together a diverse array of artworks and promoting the voices of Middle Eastern artists, Khawla Art Gallery continues to make strides in making art accessible, inclusive, and impactful. And the upcoming, inaugural Summer Collective is set to be a highlight. So mark your calendars and make your way to D3.
