American DJ Diplo will play under the stars at Dubai’s Terra Solis

Catch the award-winning hitmaker this November.

Dubai, get ready to dance. American DJ, songwriter and record producer Diplo has announced that he is heading to Dubai. He will be performing at Terra Solis on 25 November, and will create a magical night of music under the stars. So, if you want to get into the groove, here’s what you need to know. 

Diplo, born Thomas Wesley Pentz, hails from Mississipi, United States. He first began DJing at parties and local radio stations. He found his early musical influences in Miami when he attended university in Florida, and in India when he travelled across the country. His has contributed to hit songs from Labrinth’s Earthquake to M.I.A.’s Paper Planes, and worked as a producer on Beyonce’s iconic album Lemonade. 

Diplo became the co-creator and lead member of the electronic dancehall music project, Major Lazer. He was also a member of the group LSD with singers Labrinth and Sia. Plus, he founded and manages the record company, Mad Descent. 

Over Diplo’s career, he has collaborated with famous faces including Britney Spears, Chris Brown, Ellie Goulding, Madonna and Usher. He has won awards including three Grammy Awards, one Electronic Music Awards and one UK Music Awards.
